Smartphone Definition Update – 2023
In the upcoming version of the WURFL API (version 1.12.10.0), we have updated our definition for a smartphone
The key parameters that are changing are:
- Minimum OS version requirements will increase to iOS 12, Android 8.0
- Minimum Horizontal Resolution requirement remains 540 pixels
These changes impact less than 3% of smartphones that we identified and analyzed during the first quarter of 2023.
